My Vault
My Vault stores photos, videos and other files in an encrypted vault. The vault is kept in the app's private internal storage or in a chosen folder on a removable SD card.
Features
- Unlock with a password or PIN code, with a recovery code that is shown once.
- Import and move files; view photos, play videos and open documents.
- Export files, verify their integrity and remove them from the vault.
- Auto-lock after a configurable time or immediately when leaving the app.
- Create and restore a full encrypted backup.
- Migrate the vault to an SD card and change the password or PIN code.
Good to know
My Vault is not an online synchronisation service. Keep your password or PIN code and the recovery code outside the vault; without valid access credentials, encrypted files can no longer be opened. Key derivation uses Argon2id. A copied vault can be tried offline, so use a long, unique password.
